Popular social media influencer Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has revealed that ₦180 million was stolen after hackers breached his NGO’s website.

In an emotional Instagram video shared on Friday, VDM opened up about the situation, saying, “I haven’t been myself these past few days. Someone hacked into the NGO website, and ₦180 million is missing. Thankfully, we’ve tracked the person responsible, and a suspect has been arrested.”

According to him, the stolen funds were diverted to an unknown account. While ₦20 million remains in the account, ₦160 million had already been siphoned. He added that the account is now under a Post No Debit (PND) order, and he plans to travel to Jos to recover the missing funds.

To prevent further incidents, VDM shared that the NGO’s app has been temporarily shut down for maintenance. He reassured supporters that updates on the recovery process would be provided.

The Martins Vincent Osei Initiative, which VDM launched in October, gained significant attention when it raised over ₦30 million in donations within hours. Among the key supporters of the cause was music mogul Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, who contributed a generous ₦100 million.
